Clinics and Special Services (Asthma, Baby and Child Development Check-ups, Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Heart Disease Prevention)

Numerous clinics are run in the medical centre to help those patients with certain conditions to ensure regular follow up and maximise medical care. Whilst we would encourage patients when they are able to, to book in for an appointment to the dedicated clinic, appointments at other times with the relevant nurse can be discussed with the reception staff.

Asthma Clinic

The clinic is run by the practice nurse. All patients with asthma should attend.

Blood Pressure Clinic

All patients with borderline or raised blood pressure are asked to have regular blood pressure measurements every 3-6 months and to attend the doctor or nurse once a year for an annual review, when a full check-up will be performed.

Diabetes Clinic

All patients with diabetes should attend this clinic regularly when called for follow up by the diabetic nurse (Cristina) / nurse practitioner (Odette). The nurses will liaise with the doctors re patient care as necessary. The nurses also arrange specialist annual eye examinations for all diabetics.

Heart Disease Prevention Clinic

All patients with heart disease or at risk of developing heart disease re invited to attend this clinic to help reduce the risk of heart attacks or strokes.
